This hazy pale ale is a treasure for those in search of the perfect sessionable beer. American hops shine through to offer a rush of citrus and floral flavours with low bitterness. Stake your claim before this one’s gone.
For a beer on the lighter side, this one has a ton of hop flavour and bitterness present. It’s been a labour of love to develop a beer with long-lasting hop flavours but light on impact. Named in recognition of the ongoing gold rush in Central Newfoundland, we just know the search for your favourite APA will stop once you have a sip of our Prospector.

If you’re searching for a hoppy, low ABV beer you can crush back more than one in a night, this is the APA for you.
THE STYLE
American Pale Ales are usually lower on ABV than similar styles like an IPA. There is generally a large amount of American hops added (Cascade Hops are commonly used in this style), and these hops distinguish the style from English Pale Ales. Citrus and pine flavours are usually dominant in aroma and taste.
THE HISTORY
APAs became their own style relatively recently (about 40 years ago), while the English Pale Ale has been around for much longer. In California, around 1975, Anchor Brewing Company brewed Anchor Liberty Ale. This brew closely followed English recipes for Pale Ales but used an American Hop Cascade instead. The beer became quite popular, and other breweries started making their own versions, and with that, the American Pale Ale style of beer was born.
